Two formats carry BDIX live TV: M3U (a playlist URL) and XTREAM (a portal login). XTREAM is the one the TV-first servers prefer - cleaner channel grouping, EPG support, refresh-by-relogin - and it is the format most likely to confuse a newcomer, because a "code" is actually three separate values. This guide sets it up in every major player and fixes the errors it throws.
What You Actually Have
An XTREAM login is three values, always in this shape:

Setup per Player
TiviMate (Android TV / Fire TV)
- Open TiviMate → Add playlist.
- Choose Xtream login (not M3U URL).
- Enter the portal URL, username and password. Name the playlist after the server.
- Save and let the first sync complete - the channel grid builds in under a minute on BDIX speeds.
IPTV Smarters Pro (phones, tablets, desktop)
- Open Smarters → accept terms → Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Any name field: anything you like. Username, password, portal URL: exactly as published.
- Tap Add User. The app logs in and builds sections: Live TV, Movies, Series (where the server offers them).
OTT Navigator (Android power users)
- Settings → Playlists → Add playlist → Xtream portal.
- Enter the three values; save; the channel scan runs automatically.
VLC (the 30-second check)
VLC does not speak XTREAM natively - for a VLC test, use the server’s M3U URL instead (see the M3U guide). If a server publishes only XTREAM, test on a phone with Smarters rather than fighting VLC.
The Four Classic XTREAM Errors
1. "Invalid credentials" / login failed
Rotated credentials, in order of likelihood. Re-copy all three values fresh from the server page at the moment of failure - not from a saved note, not from a friend’s message. Then check the lookalikes: 0 vs O, 1 vs l. A fresh copy fixes nine of ten login failures.
2. "Cannot connect to server"
The portal URL is wrong or unreachable. Confirm the port survived the paste (players strip it more often than you would think), confirm no VPN is active, and confirm the connection is BDIX-peering - the BDIX tester in ten seconds. Then check the server status; portals do restart.
3. Login works, channel list is empty
The stale-session special. Remove the portal entirely and re-add it with fresh credentials; let the first sync finish completely before judging. If the fresh re-add still shows nothing, the server’s playlist backend is mid-reshuffle - the status page and an hour of patience are the remedy.
4. Channels list, streams will not start
Per-channel first (single feeds drop), then the playlist freshness rule, then bandwidth: a stream needs a steady 5–10 Mbps - the BDIX speed test separates your line from the feed.

- Credentials are free and public - treat them lightly. Copy fresh, share nothing, pay no one. The moment a "code seller" enters your life, the scam has entered it.
