This website is an independent technical reference for the Bangladesh Internet Exchange (BDIX). We document the BDIX ecosystem - FTP and media servers, their IP addresses, the internet service providers that host them, and the tools you need to understand local connectivity - in plain, accurate language, for free.

What We Do

Every day, Bangladeshi internet users type addresses like 10.16.100.244 into browsers and FTP clients. Almost nowhere is it explained what those addresses are, who operates them, whether they are reachable from a given ISP, or why a connection times out. We close that gap: our server directory, IP reference pages, ISP profiles, diagnostic tools and guides turn scattered technical folklore into a documented, verifiable reference.

How We Work

• Editorial-first, not scraped: pages are written and maintained by people, with structured data checked against public sources and periodic probes - never auto-generated filler. Our methodology explains exactly how ISP rankings and server entries are produced.
• Honest reachability: we state plainly whether a server is reachable from your ISP's network, on BDIX peering, or from the public internet, and why a timeout is often expected rather than a fault.
• Verification with dates: directory entries carry real last-verified dates. We never back-date or invent freshness.
• Independence: we are not owned by, affiliated with, or paid by any ISP or server operator listed. No listed company previews or approves our content before publication.

Who We Are

The site is maintained by BDIX Editorial, a small editorial team of network engineers and technical writers based in Bangladesh. We use the same networks our readers do, we run the probes ourselves, and we publish under a single accountable masthead rather than anonymous posts. Accuracy over speed. We would rather publish less and be right. Transparency over spin. Funding, methodology and errors are disclosed openly - see our editorial policy. Information, not promotion. We do not sell server placements, publish paid reviews, or trade directory position for anything. Respect for the ecosystem. We describe third-party servers factually and host no content ourselves; see our disclaimer for the boundary between describing a service and providing one.

How the Site Is Funded

Operating a directory, running probes and writing guides cost real money. The site is funded by unobtrusive display advertising and, where indicated, affiliate or sponsorship placements that are always labelled as such. Advertising never determines editorial content: our data, rankings and verdicts are produced independently of any commercial relationship.
