How This Lookup Works
For domains and IPs we query RDAP (the modern, structured successor to WHOIS) via rdap.org, which routes the request to the correct registry. For the network behind an IP, or the owner of an AS number, we also query Team Cymru’s DNS service. A free, keyless database that maps IPs and ASNs to their owners.
A domain lookup also resolves the domain’s A/AAAA records and reports the ASN of the first address, so you can see both the registration layer and the network layer in one place.

What Is WHOIS?
WHOIS is the public record of who registered a domain or IP range: registrar, registration and expiry dates, and nameservers. Modern lookups use RDAP, the structured successor to the old WHOIS protocol, which this tool queries.
What Is an ASN?
An Autonomous System Number identifies a network operated by one organisation (an ISP, hosting company or content provider). Two ASes peer with each other to exchange traffic: on BDIX, Bangladeshi ISPs peer their ASes locally to keep traffic inside the country.
How Do I Find Which ISP Owns an IP Address?
Look up the IP here. The ASN result shows the network that announces that address and the organisation behind it. For Bangladeshi IPs this is usually the ISP’s own AS number and name.
Why Does a Domain Show “no Record Found”?
The domain may not be registered, may be in a pending or deleted state, or the registry’s RDAP endpoint may be temporarily unavailable. Try again in a minute.
What Is the Difference Between a Domain Lookup and an IP Lookup?
A domain lookup shows registration data (registrar, dates, nameservers). An IP lookup shows the network block that contains the address and the AS/ISP that announces it: two different layers of the internet.
Can WHOIS Data Be Private?
Yes. Many registrars offer privacy protection that hides the registrant’s name and contact details. The registrar, dates and nameservers usually remain public, and RDAP reflects whatever the registry publishes.
