Reading the Verdict
- Everything green → your connection is healthy; enjoy it.
- BDIX green + international red → international routing or bandwidth is the problem.
- Both red → look at your local line, Wi-Fi, or your ISP’s own network.
- BDIX unreachable → your ISP may not peer with BDIX, or that test IP is down.
- DNS slow only → switch to a faster DNS resolver.

What Does the Internet Diagnostic Test Check?
It checks your download speed, latency to bdix.app, DNS resolution speed, IPv6 availability, BDIX peering, and TCP latency to global and BDIX hosts: then summarises what is healthy and what the likely problem is.
How Long Does the Diagnostic Take?
Usually 5–15 seconds. The slowest part is the download sample; everything else runs in parallel. On very slow connections it can take up to 30 seconds.
Why Do I See Both “global” and “BDIX” Latency?
Bangladeshi connections have two very different paths: local BDIX traffic that stays in-country, and international traffic that leaves the country. Comparing them shows you exactly where a slowdown lives.
What Does “likely Issue” Mean?
It is a best-guess based on simple rules: for example, fast BDIX plus slow international usually points at international routing. It is not a diagnosis of your specific line; use it as a starting point when talking to your ISP.
Is the Speed Result Accurate?
It measures throughput to the bdix.app server with a single short sample, so it is approximate. For a more thorough reading run the dedicated speed test, which averages multiple larger downloads.
Why Does the Diagnostic Show a DNS Time From Google Instead of My ISP?
Browsers cannot query your ISP’s resolver directly, so we measure public DNS-over-HTTPS (Google DNS) from your browser as a stand-in for “is DNS responsive on this connection”. A slow result there suggests your whole connection’s DNS path may be sluggish.
