Mobile Internet vs Fixed Broadband
Bangladesh has four licensed mobile network operators, Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink and Teletalk, and together they provide mobile internet to the vast majority of the country. The Mobile tab keeps them separate from fixed-line ISPs because BTRC licences them as mobile operators, not broadband providers.
Mobile internet wins on convenience: no installation, coverage almost everywhere, and packages that start small. Fixed broadband from an ISP wins on speed, data allowance and value once you need serious downloading. and only fixed ISPs can reach BDIX servers at local speeds. Not sure which fits? Read our mobile internet vs fixed broadband guide, or use the USSD codes tool to check your data balance.
All four operators publish their current data packages in this directory. compare them side by side below.
Fixed-line users reach BDIX servers at local speeds. browse the server directory to see what is on the exchange that mobile data cannot reach.
BDIX Servers Hosted By Mobile Internet Providers
None of the 4 listings on this tab hosts a BDIX server. Mobile data is routed through the operator's own core rather than the national exchange, so a mobile plan cannot reach BDIX servers. To reach them you need a fixed-line ISP that peers.
If exchange speeds matter to you, the BDIX server directory shows which fixed-line operators near you peer at the exchange.
