About The Bangladesh ISP Directory

The Bangladesh ISP Directory is the most complete public list of internet service providers operating in the country under BTRC licences. 2,229 providers at the time of writing. It goes beyond a simple registry: every ISP is linked to the BDIX servers it hosts, its published packages, coverage areas, contact details and licence category, so the directory works both as a phone book of Bangladeshi ISPs and as a decision-making tool for choosing a connection.

Because ISPs are the gatekeepers of BDIX access, the directory is built around the connection between provider and server: search an ISP to see which BDIX servers it hosts and who can reach them, or search the server directory and land on the ISP that runs it.

BTRC ISP Licence Categories

BTRC issues ISP licences in four categories, and each determines how large an area the provider may serve:

  • Nationwide : 195 ISPs may serve customers across all of Bangladesh and operate national networks; most BDIX server operators hold this licence.
  • Divisional : 244 ISPs serve one of the eight divisions (Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, Mymensingh).
  • District : 109 ISPs operate within a single district, such as Narayanganj, Cumilla, Gazipur or Bogura.
  • Upazila/Thana : 1,668 local ISPs serve one upazila or thana. often the fastest way to get fiber in smaller towns.

Separately, the Mobile tab lists the 4 mobile network operators (Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink and Teletalk), which BTRC licenses as mobile operators rather than fixed-line ISPs. Not sure whether a SIM or a fixed line is right for you? The mobile internet vs fixed broadband guide sets the two side by side.

The Satellite tab lists satellite internet providers, currently 1 provider (Starlink), offering broadband without fixed-line infrastructure.

The Wireless tab lists the fixed wireless access (FWA) providers from the mobile operators, gpfi, Robi WiFi and Banglalink WiFi, unlimited home Wi-Fi over the 4G/5G network without fixed-line installation.

ISPs And BDIX Servers

Of the 2,229 ISPs listed, 202 host at least one of the 403 BDIX servers we catalogue (127 unique IPs in total). BDIX servers carry movies, series, live TV and software at local speeds because they sit inside Bangladesh’s national internet exchange. If your goal is fast local downloads, the fastest route is an ISP that hosts or peers with the servers you use. the directory makes that relationship visible on every profile.

Browse the BDIX server directory to find servers by name, IP or hosting ISP, then come back here to contact or compare the provider behind it.

How To Use This Directory

The directory lists every BTRC-licensed ISP in Bangladesh. ISPs with a published profile, packages, coverage, contact and BDIX servers, are linked and sorted to the top of their category, with ISPs that publish their plans and rates ranking first; the rest are listed by name and licence category until their details are verified. The Top 50 ISPs tab shows the editorial shortlist for BDIX access, and the search box finds any ISP in the full register. If you represent an ISP that is missing, add it free through the List your ISP form.
