The Bangladesh vs New Zealand Test series is set to start on November 28, Tuesday, and last until December 10, Sunday. On Wednesday, December 6th, the second game will begin.
For the next Test series, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and Dhaka’s Shere Bangla National Stadium will serve as hosts, respectively.
For both teams, this series is the first game of the 2023–25 World Test Championship season.
Without injured skipper Shakib Al Hasan and vice-captain Litton Das, who requested paternity leave, Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Bangladesh. In addition to Taskin Ahmed, who is rehabilitating from a shoulder injury from World Cup 2023, Ebadot Hossain will miss the match.
Following his World Cup success, New Zealand has called up Rachin Ravindra, who last played a Test in January 2022 against Bangladesh. Mitchell Santner was picked up after two years to accompany Ajaz Patel in spin-friendly conditions. In addition, Kyle Jamieson, who helped them win the 2021 WTC, is returning.
