ICC T20 World Cup 2022
The ICC T20 World Cup was initially scheduled to take place in 2020; however, in July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the event will be postponed because of the epidemic caused by COVID-19. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced in August 2020 that Australia will be the host nation for the rescheduled event in 2022.
The Twenty20 World Cup was initially slated to take place in India in 2021, but it was then shifted to the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced all of the tournament’s schedules on January 21st, 2022.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Teams
The twelve countries that progressed to the Super 12 phase of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup in 2021 were granted automatic qualification for the 2022 event.
On the basis of their results in the 2021 tournament and their rankings as of November 15th, 2021, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa all qualified for the Super 12 phase of this tournament straight.

Tournament Format & Schedule
The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is divided into three stages. Which are Group Stage (Qualifier Round), Super 12, and Knockout Stage.
ICC T20 World Cup 2022 – Group Stage
This Twenty20 World Cup’s First Stage is referred to as the Group Stage or the Qualifier, and it is comprised of Group A and Group B. In Group A of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Qualifiers, Sri Lanka will compete against other teams. While in Group B, the West Indies will compete against the countries who qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in order to earn a spot in the Super 12 Stage.

ICC T20 World Cup 2022 – Super 12
The next round of competition in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2022 is named the Super 12, and it will include competition between the top-ranked T20 teams, which have already qualified for the Super 12 Stage, as well as the four teams that qualified from the first round.
